High Wycombe Arts Centre
"Working with the Grow Together team has given me the confidence to develop the garden
programme further and next term include more students both in our after-school club and the
intervention programme with the Student Engagement Team. The students involved in the
programme this term have been troubled with low self esteem and anxiety and the gentle support
from the Grow Together Team has really helped these students. They have become more willing to
engage with the volunteers and have really enjoyed spending time outside focusing on the garden.
The school has recognised the importance of this and despite very limited budgets has purchased a
greenhouse so students can continue in bad weather. We hope to work on phase 2 - an unused area
with a pond to develop more growing space next academic year."
