Marsh Primary School, High Wycombe
January 2025

Thanks to the support of Marsh & Micklefield Big Local we are working with Marsh Primary School during the 2025 growing season.

Classes begin
January 2025

After their first lesson in January where the children learnt about how amazing seeds are and then planted broad beans. We were gratified with feedback from one little boy who said, ”that lesson was 10 out of 10”!

We are looking forward to a wonderful growing season with this enthusiastic bunch of students and to sharing photographs of the school's growing spaces as the term progresses.

Visit the GTB Community Allotment
March 2025

As well as planting seeds at school the pupils visited the allotment to experience growing on a larger scale.
They planted seed potatoes, planted out broad bean seedlings which they had sown at school in January. They also sowed flower seeds and looked for critters in our home made compost.

Family Fun Day
April 2025
We had a fabulous Saturday afternoon at the Community Allotment with the students and parents of Marsh Primary.

The children were excited to show their parents the vegetables they had planted the month before. The art table and seed sowing were very popular, with children making pots to take home.

John entertained us all with his 'BrainySongs', whilst tea and cake was enjoyed by all.
Follow along to see the students growing space progress throughout
the season...
