The session will be a mixture of information, ideas, discussion and practical hands on activities. It will be aimed at adults but accompanied children are welcome

About the event
Come and join a practical session at the Grow Together Bucks community allotment for information and advice about growing your own food. The session will be a mixture of information, ideas, discussion and practical hands on activities. It will be aimed at adults but accompanied children are welcome.
The workshop will cover:
Why people grow plants.
The benefits of growing food yourself
What do I need to get started?
What do plants need to be healthy and produce a good harvest?
Where can I grow?
What do I grow?
How about the timing? When do I sow seeds, or plant out seedlings, and when do I harvest the crops?
Hot and cold drinks and home-made cake will be available.
The workshop is free to attend.
