Cedar Park School, Hazelmere
January 2025

Cedar Park have thrown themselves into their partnership with GTB undertaking their own fundraising to create the best school garden they can. Sharing with us that:

"This garden is not just about the students—it’s about building a lasting legacy for future generations. The school has big plans for the garden, envisioning it as a space that will continue to grow and flourish for many years to come. This includes opportunities for local community groups to get involved, especially during the summer breaks when school staff are away. Volunteers from local organisations could help tend to the garden, water plants, and keep the space vibrant during the warmer months. Such collaboration would foster a sense of community and create valuable connections across generations, as well as allowing the garden to thrive even when school is not in session."
Cedar Park volunteering day
April 2025
Cedar Park needed help transforming an area of their school into a suitable space for growing vegetables.

During the school holidays the children and their parents were invited to come along and help begin creating this new space. Around 40 children, parents and carers came to help weed, dig, move existing plants, paving stones and help measure and stake out the new beds. They achieved a fantastic amount in just a few hours but there's still more to do...
Corporate Volunteering Day
May 2025
It was wonderful to be joined by volunteers from Highlands UK to return to Cedar Park School and complete the raised beds ready to begin the school growing programme with the students after the summer holidays.
After a huge amount of hard work on a hot day the space is looking fantastic. We can’t wait to start planting vegetables with the children.
Follow along to see the students growing space progress throughout the season...
